Questions about Brows

Is the permanent makeup procedure painful?

No, micropigmentation does not have to be a painful procedure. I apply a topical anaesthetic cream during the procedure to ensure maximum comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as a light vibration or minimal touch.

How long does healing take after eyebrow micropigmentation?

Surface healing takes 7-10 days. During this time the colour will appear more intense, then fade by 30-50% to a much more natural result. Full healing takes approximately 4-6 weeks.

Do I need a touch-up session after micropigmentation?

Yes, the touch-up session is included in the initial price and is done 4-6 weeks after the main procedure, to correct and perfect the colour, shape and pigment intensity.

How long does eyebrow micropigmentation last?

Micropigmentation can last from 1 year up to 2-4 years, with duration varying considerably depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Dry skin with no imperfections and undilated pores retains more pigment compared to oily or combination skin, which produces sebum and can cause the pigment to appear more faded over time.

What are the restrictions before the procedure?

Do not consume coffee, cola or any energy drinks. Do not consume any alcoholic beverages at least 48 hours before the procedure. Avoid taking medications 48 hours before your appointment. Avoid sunbeds or tanning at least 72 hours before your appointment. Sun-damaged skin is significantly more sensitive.

Can I get micropigmentation if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

I do not recommend micropigmentation procedures during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Hormones can influence pigment retention, and caution regarding substances applied to the skin is important during this period.

Are there contraindications to micropigmentation?

Yes. Micropigmentation is not recommended for people with uncontrolled diabetes, active autoimmune conditions, coagulation disorders, allergies to pigments or metals, active infections on the treatment area, or those on certain medications. We'll discuss at the consultation.
